The next step takes courage, not certainty.

I’m Mau Muñoz. I built Global Learning by betting on young people. Today I work with founders, schools and educators who build what they believe should exist.

My story

It started with a teacher who believed in me.

In high school at Saint Paul College in Costa Rica, I had a lot of energy and very little patience for a curriculum built on memorization. I was bored in class, and academically I was easy to overlook.

An English teacher saw something in me and invited me to take part in the English department’s school play. After that, the academic coordinators, who had thought of me as pretty average, stopped overlooking me.

A few years later I directed that same play. In one year its revenue grew from about $5,000 to more than $12,000, and attendance went from about 200 people to more than 1,000.

Then came 29 business ventures that failed. I kept a lesson from each one, and by God’s grace and a great deal of perseverance, the next one was Global Learning.

Global Learning does for students what that teacher did for me. It bets on young people before they have proven anything, giving them programs and competitions where they can prove it.

How we can work together

Four ways to work together.

Founder

I founded Global Youth Congress and Global Learning, both built on my Global Learning Method. Let’s talk if you are building programs for young people that schools and families can trust.

Educator

I work with teachers and schools on how students learn, including through Global Pedagogy Lab. I am a candidate for the Certificate in Instructional Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Consultant

Through consulting and hands-on management, I help founders with operations and AI. My strongest ground is the technical side, product efficiency and customer experience, followed by commercial operations and AI integration. At Boston Scientific, an automation I orchestrated saved about $35,000 a year on a single project.

Speaker

I give talks and workshops for founders, educators and students. I have spoken at Clínica Bíblica, ULACIT, the summer camps at Texas Tech University Costa Rica, Global Pedagogy Lab, Oxford International in England, and for Global Youth Congress in Orlando.
